Pune-based Shital Rane-Mahajan has set a new record by becoming the first Indian to skydive in a saree in Thailand.

Wearing a Nav-wari sari (9-yard long sari), Mahajan skydived twice from an aircraft at heights of around 13,000 above the world-famous tourist resort of Pattaya. She already has 18 national skydiving records, 6 international records to her name.

Former Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio has been declared the winner from the Northern Angami-II seat after his rival from the Naga People's Front (NPF) withdrew his nomination.
